Good Times at Smithville Synth Night! Experimental sounds at @burlcoparksnj Annex Gallery. A piano player figured out how to use a kaossilator and @crowselectromusic Lore. @bentnoise brought a crazy Kawasaki drum machine and volca bass. @karmalizingsound performed a beautiful improvised set of spacey ambient music. @teleflux.online plugged in a korg Monotron and electribe. @michael__sorensen brought a pedal board full of interesting pieces. @smoltagions brought a Boss DR-550 drum machine that sounded extra crunchy through a little guitar amp. Big thanks to @nickmellis135 for hooking us up with some great sounding speakers and live streaming Gaylon's performance. This month we will have a special performance by gaylon around 7pm followed by a group discussion, current events and sound experimentation.
On April 2nd at The Annex Gallery at 803 Smithville Rd, i'm honored to perform and discuss my process at Smithville Synth Night 🎹🤖 i'll layer a few synths and special items and discuss how i improvise with sound. you can also play with a variety of synthesizers and sound machines that people bring out to the event.
