NEW ONE:: REZN and Lockstep play The EARL on Saturday, September 5th!
Tickets on sale Friday.
The Chicago-based band REZN have mined the stark monochromatic depths of underground metal and fused them with the kaleidoscopic delights of psychedelia, prog rock, and shoegaze. With their latest album Burden, they plumb the deepest, bleakest trenches of their sound while retaining a lifeline into the cosmos. Staking a claim at the crossroads of the hazy dimensions of modern psych acts like Black Angels, the cavernous gloom and reverb-drenched guitar of bands like Spectral Voice, and the lurching low-end meditations of artists like OM, REZN have created Burden—an album of immense amp-worshipping weight and intoxicating instrumentation.
TONIGHT :: Dinner Time (Album Release) at The EARL with special guests The Normas, and Wardrobe Malfunction. Tix available at the door and online.
Dinner Time was founded in Atlanta, GA in 2018 as a collaborative project, focused on bringing together songwriters from several existing groups. Influenced by garage rock, saccharine 60s melodies, and a DIY mentality, the group released their debut album DINNER TIME in 2019. Now the band has come full circle, and is ready to share DINNER TIME 2. This album represents a return to form, back to the familiar influences of their debut, now with years of experience under their belts. Layers of acoustic guitars and mellow pianos evoke the sounds of the 70s, while catchy melodies and soaring guitar harmonies hint at the band’s varied influences (which include the Zombies, the Beatles, the Doobie Brothers, Randy Newman, CSNY, and Masayoshi Takanaka). Produced in collaboration with Clark Hamilton (Klark Sound, Improvement Movement), DINNER TIME 2 will be released on May 8, 2026 via Dinner Time Records.

TONIGHT :: Wolf Eyes ( @wolf_eyes_official ) at The EARL w/ Confounder ( @confounder.jde ) and Chris Daresta (anticipation) ( @anticipationdka ). Tickets available online and at the door.
Wolf Eyes' history with collaboration goes back almost 26 years. From the first Wolf Eyes w/ Spykes concert that led to John Olson joining the band, to Smegma, Anthony Braxton, Richard Pinhas, Merzbow, Marshall Allen, and many more. Wolf Eyes has continued expanding musical ideas through collaboration and Difficult Messages is the first compilation of this practice. Many of the bands on Difficult Messages exist inside an assemblage of a mail art tradition. Most of the music was made remotely and this allowed for deeper exploration into styles that might have been too uncomfortable to attempt face to face.
