I learned a lot while under the tutelage of the master horologists here at @rampart.studio .
But it appears I’ve over stayed my welcome and now it’s my turn to step out into the world as newly refined and defined luxury watch influencer. 💁🏼♀️
If you’re equally confused as me then buckle up as I find my way into the spaces and places watches should be and mostly where they should not.
Time will tell if the degenerates at Rampart.Studio have made a grave error, but either way Bad Beard is back on the block.
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind. Add to that the fact that I spent the previous two months and 13,000 miles on the road, and I find myself at another one of life’s forks before even doing a load of laundry at home.
To the left lies a paved road of familiarity and comfort. To the right is a foggy path yet to be forged, with an owl making those spooky “hoo-hoot” noises.
But when have I ever been intimidated by a new adventure full of untold peril and mystery?
Dare I say my unhinged confidence and medically diagnosed level of optimism prepared me for this moment. Even more fitting, this new quest calls for every bit of life experience that brought me to this point.
“So Sam, are you climbing Everest?”
Helllll no. I will leave that for the Sherpas and CEOs searching for purpose. That said, what I am attempting stands on the backs of pioneers who forged the way before me. People who climbed the heights of industry with two simple ingredients. Precision and pedigree.
I have been invited to partner with a new watch line. The task is clear. The map is being drawn. The work begins now.
They bring the precision. I earn the pedigree.
Working alongside a team of master horologists who prefer to remain nameless, I have the privilege of helping bring their creation to the masses. That means showing the craftsmanship behind these pieces while sharing the story and honoring the timekeepers who came before us. I enter this space as an enthusiast determined to earn a seat at the table.
Truth told, I entered this conversation as little more than a casual observer who likes being on time. With respect and enthusiasm, I commit to learning and growing in this space. A space that connects with nearly every industry where I already operate.
