Untold-Stories from Gaza: Exhibition opening, film screening, and Artist talk. Presented in collaboration with YuRa, Untold-Palestine and Tvibit (The Tromsø-Gaza Twin-city Cooperation). This event is a special part of the 25th-anniversary celebration of the friendship between Tromsø and Gaza. 📍 Where: Tvibit, Tromsø 📅 When: Thursday, 29 January 2026 ⏰ Opening: 17:00 🎬 Film & Talk: 18:00 We will open the exhibition, followed by a special film screening by UntoldPalestine, featuring works from filmmakers across Gaza. The evening continues with an insightful artist talk featuring Mohamed Badarne. Stories from Gaza (40 minutes): Over the course of a year and a half, Palestinian storytellers in Gaza worked to produce visual stories about people and their daily lives. Their struggle was twofold, the responsibility of documenting these stories and the targeted attacks they endured during the war. Many lost their lives or loved ones, yet they insisted on continuing to tell these stories. This film follows what Untold Palestine’s storytellers in Gaza captured, before and after the war. From everyday life to scenes of pain and loss, and the ongoing search for hope amidst the devastation. Participating storytellers: Salama Younes, Mohamed Salem, Wafa Abu Hajjaj, Anas Fteiha, Mahdy Zourab, Dalia Abu Daloul, Rima Mahmoud, Mohamed Safadi, Ansam Qatta’, Mohamed Masri, and Awad Abu Sharkh. This is a unique opportunity to experience personal narratives and artistic expressions that go beyond the headlines. 📸 You can also join the full Program of the Week: 🇵🇸 Tuesday, 27 Jan | 16:00 - 19:00 Photo Workshop Day 01 (A hands-on creative workshop) tvibit.net/photo-workshop 🇵🇸 Wednesday, 28 Jan | 16:00 - 19:00 Photo Workshop Day 02 (Continuing the creative journey) tvibit.net/photo-workshop 🇵🇸 Thursday, 29 Jan | From 17:00 ➡️ 17:00: Exhibition Opening - "Untold Stories from Gaza" ➡️ 18:00: Film Screening by UntoldPalestine & Artist Talk with Mohamed Badarne We hope you can join us for this meaningful celebration of art, resilience, and friendship. 📅 Save the Date! 📅 Join us for the unveiling of the "Wanas" Project. Date: Friday, June 28, 2024 Location: Art-Lab Berlin, Moabit Perlebergerstr. 60, 10559 Berlin "Wanas" captures the rich tapestry of life on Sonnenallee Street in Neukölln, confronting stereotypes and the lack of positive representation about this vibrant street. "Wanas" translates from Arabic as a feeling you get when a song or a smell reminds you of your homeland, and you want to embrace it fully. Through Mohamed Badarne's photos and my writing, we hope to share the everyday stories that make Sonnenallee so special. Produced by Natasha Davis for @counterpointsarts translated by: @tamerajaj Design: @hayakhoury94 ندعوكم يوم الجمعة القادم الموافق 28 حزيران لإفتتاح معرض (وَنَس) في تمام الساعة السابعة مساء بتوقيت برلين في منطقة موابيت.
