Just over a week ago we presented Malign Junction (Goodbye, Berlin) at the atrium of the @gropiusbau . Thank you to everyone who joined us, as well as a huge thank you to all the collaborators. Making this kind of work requires immense amounts of exchange and collective labour and at the same time it is a leap of faith. I’m grateful to the new and longstanding collaborators who made this endeavor lift off the ground. Especially to the dancers; Aaa, Aaron, Elvan, Sam, Shade and Mickey. To Thibault for the choreographic support in the studio. To Krzysztof for the immersion through Sound. To Jśa for the gorge sound contributions. To Jacqline for the brilliant basking lumiere. To Société Vide for manifesting the set / sculpture. I would also like to thank the ‘backstage’ meaning the producer extraordinaire Darcey, and the rigor of the studio; Andrea and Laura, without whom none of this would be possible, as well as the team at the Gropius Bau, Nora, for the invitation and conversation, Jenny for making this possible, and Edessa and Sasha, for the support. Finally to Andrea, Carlos and Sebastjan for the exchanges. As well as many others, named in the credits I’m looking forward to the work continuing to grow and to all our upcoming presentations. Next up is Lausanne at the Arsenic, we’ll be there next week. Full credits and thank yous in the comment below. Photos by Maximilian Koppernock

Next Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, we present the homecoming performance of Malign Junction (Goodbye, Berlin) at the atrium of @gropiusbau . The choreography navigates the tension between loss, anger, seduction, the eerie and ecstatic abandon. Developed at the Gropius Bau Studio, the piece premiered at Tanzquartier Wien this February and was later performed at PACT Zollverein in Essen. This is a huge thank you to all the collaborators. And, as always in my practice, the work remains in process as we go along. Please join us in Berlin or at another stop along the tour Choreography: Alex Baczyński-Jenkins In collaboration with and performed by: Aaron Ratajczyk, Elvan Tekin, Samuel F.
