We’ve been saving some special items to sell for the occasion! @jacobhuelster is shop boy all weekend, but you can find me and my brother CJ in the 331 Alleyway both days!

Sunday 5/17: WE’RE ALL OVER TOWN TODAY! 1) Ally and her brother are running the BPV booth at the 331 Market at Art-A-Whirl! Find them in the parking lot until 6pm. 2) Jacob is running the shop until 4pm when he’s gonna dip out early to go catch some of the Art-A-Whirl fun before the market closes. 3) Bring your stunning voice to the White Squirrel tonight to sing MOM ROCK KARAOKE hosted by Ally. 9pm-12am Can’t wait to see you!

Friends of The Grief Room, we need your help! A mother from our free clinic community is facing an urgent rent hardship and needs about $300 in support. She is a single bipoc mother raising her little girl and bravely reached out for help after trying to carry this alone. A few of us here at TGR are helping by spreading the ask far and wide. We know we are all feeling it! $2, $5, $10 + Really any mount helps! Well according to the internet, it’s Bon Jovi but this prompt is loose…just sing songs your Mom loves! Sing songs about Moms! Sing about your MOMMY ISSUES! I’m excited to spend time with my friends! This Mom is can’t wait to rock with ya!

Only 4 days away! From clothes to plants to handmade goods, you’ll find yourself in community with local Queers. Come this Sunday to @backstorycoffee to find a new plant for your home, refresh your wardrobe, and make some new friends. We’ll have over 10 local Queer and BIPOC vendors, local orgs popping up to share resources and information, and all the plants & clothes to your hearts desire! This last weekend I was able to catch the tail end of RIOT MOM 2026 Bloc Party: Art and Self Care Festival! The event was hosted by @backpocket_mn , @backstorycoffee and @wabashabrewing in the West Side neighborhood of St.Paul. RIOT MOM 2026 celebrated the Moms of the Resistance! This was to honor the moms that showed up to protect our neighbors during Operation Metro Surge. The event was also a fundraiser for mutual aid efforts at Back Pocket Vintage and to help fund their free bodega services. @thefreebodega From Back Pocket Vintage: “The Free Bodega is a mutual aid pantry that began at Back Pocket Vintage in St. Paul! A mutual aid pantry is for everyone in the community to contribute to, participate in and take from. We want the Free Bodega concept to be adopted by other local businesses. This helps create brand recognition for our neighbors in need, who may not feel comfortable stepping inside of local businesses for help.” The first mutual aid pantry is set up at Back Pocket Vintage, and the second location is at @the_griefroom The Grief Room had also set up a Justice for Mother’s memorial for the mothers killed by the government. It was a beautiful safe space that they tended to throughout the day. “You do not have to carry this all alone” - The Grief Room There were so many activities! Tarot readings, yoga, beauty services, plant sales, kid friendly play zone, food trucks, and live music! The music line up was as follows: Little Fevers @little_fevers The Silent Treatment @silenttreatmentmn Poison Ivy & The People @poisonivytheband Deep Femme @deep_femme Black Widows @blackwidowsrocks I wasn’t able to get there til later in the day, but was happy I got to catch Deep Femme and Black Widows. (congrats to Deep Femme for being a new mother!) Food Trucks were: Sambusa Samosa Smash & Dash El Jefes Tacos <— amazing tacos you guys, they were delicious! @eljefestacotruck Thank you for hosting this amazing event! It sounds like they are planning for RIOT MOM 2027, so make sure you follow and keep up with them!

Happy Mother’s Day! 💕 I’m so glad I was able to stop by the Riot Mom Art & Self Care Festival. Hosted by The Free Bodega, Back Pocket Vintage & Thrift Store, Backstory Coffee, and Wabasha Brewing Co, this neighborhood gathering was a celebration of moms, women, and community members who showed up to protect our neighbors during Operation Metro Surge. Grit, care, compassion, and fierce determination is what being a mom is all about. Whether you’re a mom to your kids, friends, or neighbors… cheers to you! 🌸
