Backbone BMX Core Value Pillar 1: Community
When we recognise the power we have as fellow BMX riders, we build an unbreakable community.
Regardless of the type of riding you like, your background, age or skill level, we are connected through our love of BMX.
We share a common passion and way of seeing the world – the BMX mentality.
It’s our mission to strengthen the bond riders have with one another through the shared love of BMX – so that together, we build an unbreakable community.
Backbone - Always Building.

Backbone BMX Core Value Pillar 2: Culture
Let’s keep the BMX culture alive and thriving.
The DIY spirit, travelling to new places to ride, going to jams, taking photos and filming video parts, making art, meeting up with a crew, building spots, chasing good times – every time you take part in the experience of BMX, you contribute to our culture.
BMX culture is as much about the rider who lands the trick, as it is about the crew there
cheering them on.
Our mission is to support and celebrate our badass BMX culture, so that it can continue to build and thrive.
Backbone - Always Building.

Backbone BMX Core Value Pillar 3: Character
When you ride BMX, you become a better person.
There are plenty of reasons why we started, but it’s the feeling that keeps us coming back.
Resilience and toughness build from dealing with the hard knocks BMX can throw your way.
Determination and self-belief overcome the fear of physical and mental obstacles.
Your creativity flourishes. Anything becomes possible with hard work and dedication.
You build backbone - all from chasing the feeling riding BMX gives you.
We stand for that strength of character.

To all the mums who make our world turn, Happy Mother's Day! ❤️
I ambushed a few riders at the last event I was at, to ask "what do you want to thank your mum for?"
Happy 50th birthday to the ultimate boss, Rhys! @boneyardbmxrepairs@olde76
Apart from meeting Rhys when he was still 28 and then spending basically every day together for the next 20 years, Rhys started Backbone BMX and in doing so built a scene and community in BMX that honestly spread across the world...
I'm just glad to call him my best mate and have been lucky to tag along for the ride.
Without Rhysty there would be no Backbone BMX, and that's a fact!
Here's a collection of some of the footage from over the years, including Hush (footage from 2005-06?) OG Hillfire, Posh 08/09, Snails and more. Footage from the Backbone video circa 2015 filmed by B-dog and Jared Carter (I think)
Hope you had an awesome day mate.
Tyson

Thanks to everyone who has ordered so far... There's going to be a lot of stoked mums out there 🙏
This dude is responsible for a lot of what you've seen outta Backbone over the last couple of decades and he deserves the biggest HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY! @brendanboeckphotography you are a bloody legend!

❤️ Ya B Dog!
Our Mother's Day gift boxes are going nuts, pink beanies are sold out but black and blue beanies are still available.
This is a no brainer for husbands and kids to choose for their mum that supports their obsession with BMX.
Sick to have @joshdovee & @aidanmontero as locals for the next few months! Boys are doin a stint in the Bundy area & are already shutting down the local parks...
