@back2backpoetry_ is a poetry collectif that constitutes three great artists from Ghana, namely Jewell King-Speaks(@spokengodgram ) a poet, Faiba Bernard(@faibabernard ) a poet and the genius Nene Narh(@officialnene.gh ) an Afro-soul musician. Nene is in his own league, he is a legend with the guitar and he adds a smooth blend to our poetry style. Jewell and Faiba have been in the game for long and are both slam champions. They begun Back2kcabpoetry in the year 2022, however our first official show was last year and this poem, originally written by both poets got the audience going wild, to us this is the official Back2kcabpoetry anthem, and the audience could not have enough of this. Though we begun last year, we’ve had numerous calls and concerns from fans asking when the next Back2kcab is happening, because they miss it and the good news is it’s happening soon, this is something we want to do every year so y’all should watch out. Currently we are working to make the next edition of happen, and if there is anyone who wants to support, whether with kindness or in the aspect of finance we are open, just send us a dm and we will be there. A language I adopted in the town I grew up in, #Tɛshi Very hectic in the preparation coz even though I mostly mix up the local languages with my preferred English stylishly to convey my poetic devices/punchlines, this is the first time I took the audacious step to construct a piece fully in only #GA language. (With a negligible amount in English instead) And the result… - I was more than glad in my heart. I’ve been keeping this video to myself for nine years now And this was after I’ve won my first poetry slam I went ahead to represent Ghana in Cote d’ivoire at #Babislamfestival I was nervous But I still made Ghana proud I always smile looking back at this performance Because this poem itself has been refined over the years Not just with the write up but with the way I recite the poem as well Crazy and amazing times I dream is to travel the world with poetry I’ve got poems I haven’t shared yet so just hit me up It is possible The name is Eastwind-Blessmann Jewell He is a seven times poetry slam champion from Ghana and the first poet to represent Ghana at the World Poetry Slam.
