i am 61½ today…the other two members of the house had birthdays this week, so i thought i’d celebrate my half birthday.
I’ve started to understand time differently. not because of a number, but because of what I’ve seen and who I’ve lost. people my age are starting to die, 5 from my elementary and high school in the last 18 months…and once you see that up close, it changes something.
the comparing, the waiting for the right time… it all feels less important. I notice what’s here a little more now instead of looking forward all the time …every day is a gift to be appreciated.
