Notes I wish 38 me could tell 37 me:
This year will be the hardest AND most fulfilling year to date. These two things can exist at the same time and it will feel confusing. It’s important that you push through.
Grief is hard, you can’t choose when it comes or when it goes. Don’t minimize how you feel. It sucks and that’s okay.
There are soooo many people in your corner, lean into it.
The key to success is balance, if you don’t figure out how to make that work it will (and does) rip you to shreds.
Be nicer to yourself. It’s your first time on earth, none of us know what we’re doing.
You don’t have to monetize everything you do. Hobbies are supposed to be fun, allow yourself to just do stuff because you want to try it.
Compliments are hard to absorb but you’re getting better at it and it’s okay to agree.
Having a partner that understands you will save your life, never ever take that for granted.
You’re not alone. You never have been.
Happiest Birthday to my whole soul. I love you endlessly and would following you to the end of the earth. Thank you for loving me so perfectly and always being the best person in a room, you deserve the world. Here are some of my favorite moment celebrating your 40th, there’s not a single place I would have rather been. I love you bug, forever and ever.
