Happy day before our 1st Anniversary! We welcome you to celebrate the occasion with us. We'll have food specials, live music, our brand new Berlinerweisse beer (with in house syrups) and obviously fun, happiness and MCM vibes. Please enjoy this series of anniversary photos by which to remember the occasion. Thanks to our beer loving photographer @b.holder.images who snapped our grand opening as well. Henceforth, come say hi to the team, have some drinks, and stay a while. Cheers!

We brew beer here. It may not look like it, but we are, in fact, a brewery. We don't look like your typical brewery, and that's what we are going for. We want to be a gathering space, designed by folks who like a quieter beer drinking and dining experience. This photo shows an actual cozy nook in our main (upstairs) taproom. So as we continue to get our rooftop tent repaired, please find a comfy spot in any of our spaces. Enjoy an in-house brewed beer, take in the decor, melt into your seat, delight in each bite you eat, and Henceforth, call us your third place. We'll see you later for dinner and drinks. Happy Saturday DC. #madeinDC #craftedonHstreet #brewedbyBen #midcenturymodern #thirdplace @b.holder.images

That was a fun afternoon! Thank you to @ravenhookbakehouse and @otherhalfdc for hosting a King Cake Mardi Gras party. Everyone who participated, from child to adult, had a blast decorating their own cakes and masks...and of course the grownups enjoyed delicious beer. King Cake and beer pairing? Yes please.

Thank you to @bluejacketdc for brewing a collaboration with us. We had a fantastic time (as always) hanging out with the team on brew day. But what topped that was our live show and seeing all of the friends, familiar faces, and industry folks who ventured out in terrible weather, trekked through mountains of ice and snow to be with us that night. It was unfortunate but out of everyone's control that the labels were stuck on a truck, and thus no one could carry a 4 pack of Common People home that evening. The good news is the labels are in and the beer is canned. So please pay a visit to Bluejacket to enjoy a pint of this on draft and carry some cans home. We're all in this together and together we are extraordinary common people. Come together. Drink local. Be kind. Rinse and repeat.

Welp folks, it's official. I've hit one of my goals. Thanks to the incredible team at @bluejacketdc and Bruno's brilliant (if I do say so myself) idea to have the DC Beer and BJ collaboration can art be one of my photos. 🫠 My.photo.is.on.a.Bluejacket.beer.can! 👏💪 Ahhhhhhhh!!!!! (Kermit the frog arms flailing wildly with excitement) I'm so thankful to Bruno and the NRG team for making one of my dreams come true. It's pretty fucking cool. Please join the DC Beer fam on Wednesday January 28th at Bluejacket for the LIVE DC Beer Show and the official release party of our Common People collab. I'm just going to be over here pinching myself and trying not to cry. See you on the 28th. If you can't make it, go support your local brewery. The industry really needs it. ♥️

It's officially the start of Winter Restaurant Week! We couldn't be any more excited to present Chef Alfredo's award-worthy dishes. We've had the extreme pleasure of tasting all of this week's special dishes, and literally every single bite will make you do a happy dance. Our team sat down and planned absolutely perfect beer pairings for each dish, complimenting the flavors as if they were a match made in heaven. One of the crowd favorite pairings, is our Baltic Porter with the red wine poached pear dessert. We look forward to hearing what your favorite dishes are and welcoming new friends to Henceforth this week. With Gratitude, The Henceforth Team #restaurantweek #winterrestaurantweek #ramwdc #Henceforthdc #Henceforthwedine @b.holder.images 📸

Allow us to introduce our Head Chef: Raised in a culinary-forward family, Alfredo Romero Contreras developed an early and lasting connection to food rooted in tradition, culture, and the shared experience of home-cooked meals. Alfredo credits his mother as his earliest and most influential teacher—shaping his palate and instilling a deep respect for ingredients, technique, and hospitality. His approach has also been inspired by renowned chefs such as Ferran Adrià, celebrated for his pioneering innovation, and Marco Pierre White, the first British chef to earn three Michelin stars. After graduating high school, Alfredo relocated to Washington, D.C., where he entered the restaurant industry humbly as a dishwasher. His drive and talent quickly propelled him forward, earning a position at the historic Old Ebbitt Grill in 2007—marking the formal start of his professional culinary career. A natural leader, Alfredo later joined Catering Resources Group, where he thrived as a kitchen manager, collaborating with emerging chefs and developing menus inspired by a wide range of global cuisines. In 2020, Alfredo joined Fiola Mare as lead line cook, cooking for dignitaries and distinguished guests at one of Washington’s most acclaimed Italian restaurants. In 2022, he was named Head Chef of St. James Modern Caribbean, where his versatility across Italian, French, Chinese, and Mexican cuisines—became a defining strength. Alfredo’s work has earned significant critical recognition. His kitchens have been featured in the Michelin Guide Washington, D.C. edition, named to Washingtonian’s 100 Very Best Restaurants list in 2023 and 2024, and highlighted in Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema’s 2023 Spring Dining Guide. In 2024, the restaurant was also recognized by The New York Times as one of the 25 Best Restaurants in Washington, D.C. Beyond the kitchen, Alfredo is deeply committed to creating memorable dining experiences that seamlessly blend exceptional food, thoughtful service, and inviting ambiance. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his family, continuing to draw inspiration from both his roots and the vibrant culinary community he calls home. @b.holder.images 📸

What an epic New Year's Eve. I'm having fun going through ALL these pictures. The whole place was full of energy, happiness and love. Not a frown in sight. It was non-stop, classy and over the top all at once. Everything was perfect. Standing ovation for the @eebeescornerbar team. From start to finish. 10/10. Happy New Year's. I can't wait for many more Light and Darks, martinis, crab dips and memories at DC best bar. This one's gonna be here for a very long time. @elarkinbrown is a genius with clearly very good taste.
