This one was special for me being a @buffalobills fan my whole life. Honored to have played a part in this iconic moment.
Went to print in yesterday’s Sunday NY Times style section! Thank you to @imjasondiamond for the interview @bogusluck for the photos and to every single one of you who’s supported this crazy dream of mine. Never thought this is what my life would look like but I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I love these old machines, I love making clothing, I love my team, and I love all the people I’ve met along this path, y’all are really the ones who make this all possible. Endless gratitude would be putting it lightly. 9 years of being my full time job after first touching a machine in a factory in Ridgewood in 2015 and this is only the beginning.
To start the year off I had the opportunity to go out to Tokyo with a team and setup a pop up inside the @newbalance Harajuku flagship. Together with New Balance I produced a run of jackets and customers who had the opportunity to purchase could come in and get the jacket customized with whatever they chose. There was a selection of New Balance varsity patches we made based off vintage patches from my archive as well as producing custom patches and direct embroidery done on site. This project was truly one of the highlights of my career so far. Being able to bring a group of friends out to work together on such a great project in Japan still doesn’t feel real. Thank you to everyone who helped play any small part in this one, the crew who worked it, the customers who came through, and the New Balance us team who worked on design with me, and the New Balance Japan team who helped make it all possible.
