What a year. Where do I start… 😅
I know I’ve been very quiet on the gram and on the scene, but as many of you are aware, I’ve spent most of 2025 navigating through cancer.
Early in the year, I was faced with hard news, the return of my sarcoma, metastasising after 11 years.
I’ve always been private online about it all, but somehow lately my mind has felt the need to open up a little. Not sure why, maybe to look back on it years from now, God willing. Or maybe I’m just doing my end-of-year overthinking, my own ‘Wrapped’ haha. Like most of you, I imagine?
If there’s anything 2025 has reminded me, it’s to accept that we’re not always, or fully, in control of situations, despite any resilience.
The journey is far from over, as I still have more rivers to cross. I’m very blessed, however, to be surrounded by so many amazing people, friends and family, hard working doctors and nurses at UCLH, RNOH, Royal Brompton…Thank you all.
Thank you too out here for sharing a piece of your experience. It’s inspiring to watch everyone do their best at living, growing, grieving, healing.
I love and respect life, the best I can, and for as long as I’m allowed to breathe, I’ll keep treasuring every moment.
So for now, I’ll raise my glass to you and your loved ones, wishing you health and strength in a more peaceful world. May you overcome your troubles with ease and cherish your successes, inchAllah.
