It's been such a long journey. The song was recorded twice, and this isn't even the first music video either. We went into the studio but the recording lacked the energy and the oomph that you get when you go see the live performance, so we went back into the studio over a year later and re-did it. On top of that, we had actually made a whole other music video, with Japanese actors, filmed in various locations - including a love hotel in downtown Tokyo - and the whole thing a year prior. But that didn't work out because of creative differences with the original director / editor who fucked us out of our footage. He got sour and decided to never send us the original takes. So we decided to do a whole new video with our dear friend @asmihaas who kindly produced, directed, and edited this masterpiece.Thank you. Thanks also to @michaelwilliamsvideo for the brilliant camera work. And special thanks to @jocelyn_guzofficial from Thee BlackDoor Blues who played the girl, and to the Techno Break crew @seancaraker@yuho2dayon@chaude_park and @chanashi who played the bartenders, partygoers and street hoodlums.

長い道のりでした。この曲は二度レコーディングされ、ミュージックビデオもこれが初めてではありません。スタジオ入りしたものの、ライブパフォーマンスで得られるようなエネルギーや迫力が録音に欠けていたため、一年以上経ってから再びスタジオに入り、再録しました。さらに言えば、実は別のミュージックビデオも制作済みだった。日本の俳優を起用し、東京の都心にあるラブホテルを含む様々なロケ地で撮影し、それも1年前のことだ。しかし、当初の監督兼編集者との創作上の意見の相違から、その映像は台無しになった。奴は機嫌を損ね、オリジナルテイクを絶対に送らないと決めたのだ。そこで私たちは、親愛なる友人ミナが親切にもプロデュース、監督、編集を手掛けたこの傑作を、全く新しいビデオとして制作することに決めました。ありがとう。また、素晴らしいカメラワークを見せてくれたマイケル・ウィリアムズにも感謝します。そして、女の子役を演じたThee BlackDoor Bluesのジョセリン・グズマン、バーテンダー、パーティー参加者、街のチンピラ役を演じたTechno Breakクルーに特別な感謝を捧げます。

It will never be exactly the same of course, but it’s being revamped in a slightly different way. For now let’s just call it “Studio”. And no better time than when Falling Doves from LA are in town 🔥
Starting with just the band room, there will be several Tokyo fave bands & guests from abroad (Mexicanos en la casa 🇲🇽).
There is a rooftop overlooking the rooftops of the alternative Koenji (one of our hoods!) where people can enjoy the early summer night 🌃
And yes you can bring in drinks and food 😮 🍻

If you wanna save 50$ or however much it costs to get this done, it’s super easy. You get a razor blade and with a scraping motion rub it back and forth against the frets without digging into the wood. Then blow and if you need you can use the non sharp short ways edge of the blade to scrape the dust that could get stuck on the edge of the fret, or just use your nail
