I almost didn’t share this post and this is why…
I had this carousel saved in my drafts. It was ready to share after a joyful Thanksgiving with my family. It was a moment of deep gratitude and warmth. 💚
But when I opened Instagram that day, the weight of the world felt heavier. I found heartbreaking news of suffering and loss on the other side of the world. It told of innocent lives caught in unimaginable hardship.
A wave of guilt washed over me. How could I share my joy, my blessings, knowing others were in pain? 😣
After sitting with that feeling, I realized something..
My gratitude reminds me of my responsibility.
Social media is a space I love—a way to connect, to share, to find inspiration across distances. Yet, sometimes, the world’s struggles stop me from sharing my joy. They hold me back from fully pursuing my dreams. It makes me feel helpless in the face of suffering I cannot immediately change.
But, here’s my insight: I owe it to those who face unimaginable hardships. I owe it to those without the same opportunities. I must live my life fully, honour my blessings, and pursue my dreams with purpose. By lifting myself up, by using the privilege I have to reach higher, only by making something of my dreams can I one day be in a position to truly help, to extend my hand and lift others up as well.
So, I share these moments with a heart that sees and feels beyond what’s captured in a photo. Because each step I take toward my dreams, God knows I take for them too! 🙏🏻

Life lately: There’s a lot of my mom’s influence in my business and art. You won’t believe how much! (But that’s a story for another post.)
One of my simplest dreams was doing little things together—getting our hair done, doing her brows, or even running errands like groceries. Tasks that normally feel boring but wouldn’t be with her by my side. We’d shop around, even if it was just at the dollar store, and it would feel special.
I’ve always wished to share my life here with her, to have her be part of it, even for a little while. And after many years of being away from my home country, I can’t believe she’s finally here with me.

Beauty got a whole new meaning when I moved to a new country.
