i never expected starting aze’s room to feel so much like creating a family? earlier this month i realised i’d done just that. aze’s room will be back for volume 5 (our 5th one wow) on saturday 9th of may. tickets are available in the link in my bio and there will be no prescribed acts so there are plenty of slots up for grabs :)

surprise !! yous know that ireland would be nothing and nowhere near as vibrant as it is without our pioneers, talk less of limerick. the last volume of aze’s room i ran with @stateyourflow but due to unforeseen circumstances, one of their co-founders was put in a position i know none of you would ever want to be in. so this is our way of showing support, hm ? to say thank you to @tobiomoteso for giving so much to the community :) completely open mic this time, so feel free to dm or sign up on the night to perform ! leave all the nerves at home, we don’t bite :) i won’t be there again, so @movewmunesu will be hosting on my behalf. i heard nothing but good things from her the last time so i expect nothing less this time ! ticket link in bio !! see you guys there :))) poster by @planet.aze

another successful open mic for the books 🫡 very very special night and i’m glad i was able to host (in person) this time :) thank you to @stateyourflow for everything that you guys do for limerick ! and for ensuring that this night could run so smoothly. i’m pleased with everyone paying earnest attention to our prescribed acts - @jacklonggg , @theoriginaldmb and @aistosee , thank you guys for setting the tone for the night !! thank you to everyone that performed in the open mic segment, you guys always remind me of why i can call limerick home !! and a very big thank you to @_franksflicks_ for getting everyone right ! i’ll see you guys later. till next time :)

Aze’s Room over and out (￣^￣)ゞ I’m so grateful to have been part of such a sacred gathering (˘︶˘).｡.:*♡ A space where people could just be. No judgement, no expectations, no malice, just respectful curiosity and pure expression. I’m so proud of everyone who performed, especially those who got on stage for the first time (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ Truly inspirational and a real testament to your bravery!Just know that by taking that step, you inspired someone else to take the leap too. Thank you @azesroom for creating this open mic and trusting me with your baby while you were away on Erasmus m(_ _)m I’ve never been to an open mic where the room was full of people who looked like me before, and to share my gift in that space while also helping set the tone for artists who refuse to fit the mold meant so much to me. Speaking to a room full of people of colour and feeling like we belonged in an Ireland that doesn’t always make us feel that way was powerful. Another reason why @planet.aze should run for president.🫡 I really appreciated the role you trusted me with. It’s an experience I will never forget. I also got to work with my brothers @godw1n._ and @godknowsmc which was a big tick off the bucket list, so thank you for making that happen through your selflessness. Big s/o to @mrosixone for the beautiful array of event he curetted in last months, he seen room for creatives to thrive and ran all guns blazing to provide a space for them to showcase who they are to whoever was willing to listen! Thank you to @thetequilaroom for believing in his vision and extending the space to us💞 and a HUUUUUUGE s/o to @____babybleach____ for trusting me with my wild endeavours and being willing to add the body to the skeletons on our live performances🎸 🫂 It honestly felt like a religious experience (✧ω✧) The way you walk in is NOT the way you walk out. let’s get it 😝😝 i’m still catching my breath but Aze’s Room vol. 1 was a success ! very teary-eyed thank you to everyone that came and to those that couldn’t make it but still expressed their support. this is the first time ever that instead of complaining about the lack of a space that i would love in arms reach, i created that space myself. and i’m glad everyone felt the same way about really wanting this space !! thank youuuuuthankyouthankyouthankyou !!!! . and a very very special to @_e6uka_ @_franksflicks_ for these beautiful beautiful pictures. they so wonderfully capture this space and the vibes in the space.
