“She doesn’t have the right body to be a ballet dancer” … @thekateflowers was 15 years old when she first heard someone say this about her. Fast forward to 19 years later and she’s not only overcome years of body image struggles and eating disorders but she’s taken her pain and turned it into something beautiful. In 2022 she co-founded a non-profit professional dance company that’s aim is to change ballet culture for the better. With a heart full of love for this beautiful, life-enhancing art form, she hopes to open the doors for all bodies to express themselves through dance and to feel loved, accepted and valued in this safe space called @azaraballet 🫶🏼💗✨
