This was so rad! Leah has an infectious relationship with the books she’s read. Every question spun off into 3 or 4 other books and authors. I understand why she does a podcast, we for real could have stood there talking about books for hours. She’s super diligent and relatable about what she reads, and for maybe the first time in the chat, her primary influences are her friends! That is beautiful thing.
Leah does so many things and she does them all well. Along with Heather Akumiah, Leah is the cohost of the Limousine podcast which is just about the only literary podcast worth a damn (my words--shots fired!!) She has a novel forthcoming with Harper and she just wrote an incredibly funny and insightful article for Cleveland Review of Books about sourpuss Literary Men feeling lonely. Read it for real. It slams the door on the topic in the perfect way.
