The land of the Mother Goddess ✨ Cappadocia
The name Cappadocia traces its roots to Khepatukh, meaning The Land of Khepat, the Mother Goddess (Khepat for the Mother Goddess and Ukh for land).
Millions of years ago, Mount Erciyes, Mount Hasan, and Mount Göllüdağ erupted, releasing rivers of lava and clouds of ash. As rainwater met the molten earth, it cooled into layers of porous tuff, painting the land in shades of red and yellow.
Guided by the four elements—earth, wind, water, and fire—Khepat began sculpting her sacred terrain. Fire gave birth to the tuff, earth cradled it, water solidified it, and over time, wind and rain carved it into a mesmerizing dreamscape of fairy chimneys, cones, caves, and valleys—Cappadocia, the enchanted land of the Mother Goddess.
