@a2aparadise got me to play a trance-inspired set two weekends ago. I broke down trance into three main states that I wanted to touch on and made it cryptic and blurry: a meditative hypnosis, a long melody (journey), and uncertain euphoria.
Maybe we’re on the bed, or walking into the club, staring hard through into white spaces, stirring with expectancy and nervous that the vision might end in futility. Flooding and reaching out into a mirage, a getting-there, sometimes met with interruptions, or a funny memory, knowing that you’ll meet your bare self at emergence.
I have in possession now, everything and nothing.
