I high key pulled over on the side of the road just for this sign… Then realized, outside of the time and date, the sign was low key speaking to me too.
I sat on this record for over four years. Not because it wasn’t ready, but because I was afraid of what it meant.
Over a decade ago, two brothers became friends… then mentors. They didn’t just help shape my sound they helped shaped me.
Then everything changed.
Lashawn Daniels (bigshiz) passed away.
And when Brandon handed me this record, I felt it immediately, this wasn’t just music. This was goodbye. The last time I’d ever share a sonic space with one of the people who helped build me.
That kind of weight will make you sit with something… for years.
Sometimes we move through life chasing what we want, convinced we’re headed the right direction. But God is calling us to turn. To pivot. To stop. To listen.
This record is about that tension, between what we desire and what God is actually asking of us.
And learning to be still enough… to hear him.
Even in this, they taught me that.

Had the opportunity to be part of the Global Gaming League championship match! Hitting the pre-show stage with some insanely talented artists and the energy was crazy. Much love to GGL for the opportunity, a time was had for real!
Some days it feels like everything is clicking other days it’s like we don’t even speak the same language. This one came from that space, not perfect, just honest. Any relationship you will find the rollercoaster effect.
Lack of discipline and routines can and will affect your output. For me, I’ve learned that if I’m not disciplined, it impacts not only my day and my creativity, but also how I make music, my mood, my mental composure, my capacity for people, and how I show up for both them and myself. It all works together... you got this!
We had the pleasure of spending time with an incredible group of students, and it was truly an amazing experience. It’s always an honor to be a small part of their journey and to witness their stories unfold. Moments like these remind us how impactful it is to show up, connect, and invest in the next generation.
