Ven a escuchar. Ven a sentir. Ven a formar parte del cambio.

With great joy, we open this new cycle of community film gatherings in the south of Spain; a travelling space for cinema, reflection, art, and collective remembrance. Over the coming months, we will journey through different villages and cities, weaving encounters that invite connection, dialogue, creativity, and conscious action. Through documentary film, music, shared food, and community presence, we hope to nurture spaces where stories can be felt, voices can be heard, and new alliances can emerge. Our first gathering will take place this Sunday, May 17th, at El Studio (@elstudioorgiva ) in Órgiva. We are AYELE, an international alliance of women amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, using art, filmmaking, and communication as tools for resistance, resilience, and collective empowerment. In the vibrant tapestry of our existence, the voices of indigenous peoples are the ancestral threads that connect the wisdom of the past with the undeniable urgency of the future. Their presence is more than a cultural legacy; it is the living manifestation of territorial sovereignty and self-determination, an unbreakable reminder that we are part of an interconnected whole and that their destiny is ours. Protecting indigenous peoples is a political and ethical imperative that demands embracing climate and social justice in its fullest expression. It means recognizing them not only as guardians of biodiversity and the lungs of our planet, but as fundamental actors in global governance. Their ancestral knowledge, forged through millennia of harmonious coexistence with nature, offers us vital paths towards resilience and sustainability in a world crying out for profound and systemic transformation. The territories they protect are bastions of life and resistance against extractive voracity. We cannot allow their struggles for self-determination, the defense of their lands, and their own lives to be rendered invisible or reduced to mere folklore. Indigenous resistance is a profound act of love for the Earth, for life, and for future generations; it is a political declaration of existence and dignity in the face of power structures that have historically sought to silence them. It is time to unite our voices to amplify theirs, to demand unrestricted respect for their collective rights, and to honor their inherent dignity. We firmly believe that true social transformation is born from mutual respect between human and non-human beings, and from shared care as a guiding principle for all public policy and collective action. Joining indigenous resistance safeguards ancient cultures and interweaves the pillars of a more just, equitable, compassionate future rooted in solidarity for all humanity. It is an investment in our own future, an affirmation that more life-respecting policies are possible and necessary.

Manga Apa was born in the Ecuadorian Amazon, created by Kichwa women of Sarayaku. Through clay gathered from the forest, they keep alive ancestral knowledge passed down for centuries. They are organizing a gathering: a cycle of ceramics and art-therapy workshops for women of the territory; space for learning, healing, and collective memory. They are also creating The Route of Clay; a micro-documentary that follows the journey to the sacred places where clay and red pigment are born, and where knowledge passes from hand to hand. Your support helps this living tradition and strengthen the autonomy of the women of Manga Apa.
Like the tree Sarita planted:
“the more love it receives,
the more it grows.” This is beyond ceramics.
It is territory, memory, and resistance. You can found the Link to support in @mangaapa bio. The videos feature Sara Gualinga, and the voice of her daughter, @kankuanacanelos . Both leaders of the Manga Apa project.
The hands of Sarita and many hands together planting a little tree of hope. Filmed during the artistic residency “TEJERNOS”, in collaboration with @ayele.projects and @macro_steps from @lafloreana_ec 🎥 @ceallii

Today, April 22, we remember that Earth is not just a place we “visit.” It is where we come from; it is and will always be our home, and even more: it is an extension of our own body. Its rivers are our blood; its forests, our lungs. There is no separation between the Earth’s heartbeat and your own. 🌿 Every breath you take connects you to every living being, to every ancestor, and to every story that has ever walked this sacred ground. We breathe the same air that the forests exhale; we are a single living organism. May we honor our Mother Earth. In every breath, in every daily gesture, and in every decision we make from the heart. May we honor life itself. 🤍 🎥 Camera: @ceallii 🎬 Editing: @arianaparra.art #EarthDay #MotherEarth #rightsofnature

Sometimes, the greatest beauty makes no sound. It is in the whisper of the wind through the trees, in the way water embraces the stones, or in the sacred silence that only the jungle knows how to keep. These fragments are part of the documentary “YARK’AY: As vozes esquecidas da Amazônia,” directed by @ceallii . This film is the result of years of deep listening and living alongside Indigenous communities in the Amazon. These peoples are the guardians of time and the beating heart of the forest. Their way of inhabiting the world, in total harmony and respect, is the most beautiful lesson the rest of the world needs to remember today. An ancestral wisdom that teaches us that caring for the Earth is, in reality, caring for ourselves. May we honor life. May we honor the Earth. In every breath, in every decision, and in every daily gesture.

Today, Brazil celebrates Indigenous Peoples' Day. Indigenous peoples represent only 5% of the global population, yet that 5% protects 80% of the planet’s biodiversity. They have spent millennia protecting and defending these lands, resisting over 500 years of constant violence. Today, the peoples of the Amazon and nature itself face unprecedented challenges. What happens there affects the climate of the entire planet; the air we breathe and the water we drink. This day is an invitation to recognize the profound wisdom of the Guardians; holders of a knowledge that the modern world is only beginning to understand. We don’t need to live there to protect the ecosystem. Indigenous peoples take care of that; our job is to protect them. What we do in this decade could define the planet's balance for generations to come. There is still time. Defend the rights of your Earth, which is your home, and of the Indigenous peoples, who are your brothers and sisters. Because life wants to prevail... and we need everyone. 🎥 @ceallii

Join us for the premiere of “A World Devouring Machine” at the @cinefront.amazonia . A documentary by @ceallii in collaboration with @rightsofnaturetribunal that exposes one of the planet’s deepest open wounds. In the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, the Carajás mine (operated by Vale S.A.) pushes the planet toward a point of no return while extracting the territory, the future, and the life of Indigenous communities. This documentary, together with the work of the GARN tribunal, confronts us with an urgent truth: the Earth is a being with rights, and respecting these rights is the only way to ensure our survival and that of all life on the planet. This story, which today remains isolated in the Amazon, will travel to film festivals in Europe to break the silence, reveal what is happening, and amplify the voices of Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities of the Amazon. Communities that know, in their own flesh, what it means to respect the rights of the Earth… and from whom we have much to learn. A story of power and resistance. A call to listen, to look… and to act. Now. From the Amazon, April 12th to 16th at CINEFRONT Fest. #Documentary #Extractivism #AmazonWatch #GlobalJustice

#humanrights #decolonization #socialjustice #slavetrade #womenforwomen
