Iām close to finishing my pocket Leuchtturm journal soon, and Iām having alot of mixed feelings. Though Iām so glad at the very least that I see alot of improvement in my comfort in drawing with inks.
Itās been my dream to practice and draw spreads like this where I can record small adventures and things that I love and want to memorialize: such as my partner baking bread. Its a humble thing for him to make; and it always smells so comforting when a loaf comes out of the oven.
Can you believe that Leviās is selling this for $24.95 CAD? I honestly think its worth making yourself rather than buying. Especially if you have a pair of jeans that youāve been meaning to scrap and keep the denim. This is actually my second attempt at making this, I actually prefer the first one better because of the zipper I used and the keychain tag is longer.
I also know this is probably a Professionalās nightmare but Iām quite proud of this project! I promise to get better and to experiment with new stitching techniques, but for now these will have to do.
Got the confidence to try some new craft today, stay tuned to see what I make ;) Here are some bits of the beginning, and some bloopers.
Iāve also used a local artistās audio of his first single, please go check out his song āAutumn Roomsā by @thejohnino (now available to listen on all major streaming platforms!!! )
More coming soon, Iām leaning more towards drawing more American Traditional Tattoos (works well with the limited colour palate of a BIC 4-in-1 pen.) Trad feels hard because its new, but Iām learning so much and I love the progress Iām making! Iām hoping to practice enough so I can start drawing my own animals for fun
Materials: scrap printer paper, cloth paper sketch book and BIC pens (4-in-1 and cristal).
ft. The song that Iāve been playing over and over for the last week.
