Ayako Kanda is back in town, playing shows all over the city. Last Saturday, May 2, 2026, I went to Freddy's Bar and Backroom to see a double bill, first a duo with Luke Rovinsky, then a quintet with Caleb Duval, James McKain, Kaelen Ghandhi, and Michael Larocca.
