Here’s a glimpse of what I imagine inside a cult. As a kid, I was always fascinated by magic. I did card tricks for anyone, even at clubs, just to see that spark of awe. That wonder turned me into a filmmaker, drawn to the unexplained—dinosaurs, mummies, aliens, or cults. I stay curious, imagining the stories hidden in the shadows.

Grunty is called Grunty because Grunty grunts when Grunty is feeling particularly Grunty. No one knows where Grunty comes from. Including Grunty. What we do know is that Grunty came from far. Emotionally far. Possibly geographically far too, but mostly emotionally. Grunty once had a heart. It is unclear where it went. Some say it left. Some say it was misplaced. Some say it boarded a different vehicle entirely. What matters is that the heart is no longer in operational condition. Which explains the balloons. And the car. And the sky. Grunty believed that enough helium could temporarily overpower gravity. Science disagreed. Gravity has a long-standing reputation for winning. Grunty grunted. The balloons burst. The car descended. It was, technically speaking, a great fall. Not historically great. Just… fairly significant. Grunty will likely grunt again. But perhaps less optimistically next time.
