/ Year 1 established Jelani’s ability to produce force. Through targeted work on braking mechanics, elastic qualities, and propulsive output, we improved how he interacts with the ground and expresses force in vertical tasks. Year 2 shifts the focus from force production to force transmission across the system. From a human movement standpoint, performance is not dictated by isolated muscle output, but by how effectively force is organized and transferred through interconnected structures. One way to conceptualize this is through myofascial lines. The lateral line contributes to frontal plane stability and pelvic control during unilateral tasks. The spiral line facilitates rotational coordination and efficient force redirection. The anterior line plays a key role in trunk stiffness and maintaining proximal stability for distal force expression. Current emphasis is on improving lumbopelvic control to reduce energy leaks during single-leg and change of direction tasks, enhancing trunk stiffness to optimize force transfer between the upper and lower segments, developing multi-planar coordination to support efficient sequencing in dynamic movements, and refining the timing of force absorption, transition, and propulsion. The goal is to move beyond raw output and improve how force is absorbed, organized, and redistributed throughout the system. Year 2 is about optimizing the system that runs it. #strengthandconditioning #precisionperformance #athletedevelopment #sportsperformance #movementquality

Athletic development, even when done correctly, takes tremendous consistency, hard work, and patience For a professional looking to maximize their performance, training can’t be guesswork. Every set, rep, and decision needs to backed by intent and diligence It will take time. And since thats the case, we might as well invest our time into a system that is efficient and produces results

Is increasing your max strength important for athleticism? Let me ask you this: if an athlete got way stronger, and could produce more force then they ever could before, and they could do that using muscle groups relevant to jumping and running, would that make them more athletic? Of course it would. Obviously, if all you do is heavy lifting and never do any jumping or plyometrics, you probably won’t jump higher. However in a long term plan, heavy strength training is a cornerstone towards long term progress.
