how it started: one of the best weeks of cycling I’ve ever had. doing bike tetris to bundle all 3 of us into a car, assembling our bikes after a long flight (handlebar and shifters got knocked way outta wack), finally settling down at the end of a long day… only to be rewarded with an incredible sunrise ride down the coast the next day. getting to travel and ride with my buddies @_adrianleong@hhhamstrung … this is really what life’s about 😭
the red rocks, rolling hills and clear blue waters of bintan. on the tail end of a ride I often feel like I’ve had enough. but looking back at it I just want to keep on going forever. thankfully the next adventure is coming up real soon

one last ride in melbs, this time actually exploring little Brunswick spots, cafes, riverside parks and railway trails thanks to my guide @deans.35mm 🌱 the bike paths there were so beautiful and extensive - I even got to bring my bike right onto a train! does make me wish we had better bike infrastructure here…
took a drive down to Melbourne to get a taste of the city, but we found ourselves rolling by the seaside again. a little off-roading, sand getting everywhere, plus gusts of salty air and the city never felt so far away
the great ocean otway classic - 1450m of elevation over 145km, one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. surprisingly it was more mental than physical - all that training this year really paid off when the big mountain climb felt fun?! but it was the endless 4%, 5% climbs so close to the end that really made everyone question their sanity - it’s the hope that kills ya. @hhhamstrung said he wanted to cry like 7 times. still… I’ll remember that sunlit ride through the forest for a long, long time
a little roadtrip to go watch the world cup 🚴🚴♀️🚴♂️ had so much fun watching the world’s best do their thing - plus long drives, lack of sleep, lots of laughing, endlessly figuring out race formats, great food, new friends, all in a weekend. thanks for taking me along for the ride @aznsuperhero@riyadhhakim14@lukman_banding !!
light and sturdy baggage makes all the difference when you’re 100km in and weighed down and exhausted and drowning in the heat 🦎
