My name is Rayna (pronounced RAY-NAH) I’m 27 and a full time farmer/potter/fiber artist. I’ve been a Maryland native since birth and I’m a proud Latina🇪🇨 This isn’t my families farm and we didn’t inherit the land (we’re actually on a very small piece of land but we use every bit😁) we started this all from scratch! Being a first gen farmer isn’t easy to say the least, but building this business around my animals which I care deeply for is beyond rewarding!Most people don’t assume I farm (it’s the nails isn’t it?)😅 but I’m out here everyday! 💅🏽👩🏽🌾 feeding hay, shearing, hauling animal feed! The Luna shawl is finally done! I made this as a costume for Halloween last year and never actually finished it! It was under-felted in some areas 😅🦋🐛 she’s finally hatched!
Etta and Aggie both got their shearing done yesterday. Etta is our first fully coated sheep! Augustus wore a coat for most of the year. I am so excited to see the quality improvement and sooo much less vegetable matter. Also they seem to enjoy those coats in the winter 😅 during that ice store Aggie stood outside in the freezing rain like he was invincible with his wool coat+ blanket on 😆 🐑
