I’ve been wanting to create a painting or ledger piece with a book in hand. Propaganda posters fascinate me and I’m interested in the power images have to shape and influence us. A lot of my work comes from creating imagery I wish I had seen as a teenager. 🤓

My second figure painting, when I fell in love with painting light. 😍
And with building texture and color, then taking it back down, repeating until it felt true. 2018. #acrylicpainting

Watching all the warehouse fires brought me back to this experimental piece from two years ago. Using a printing company, I had them print a vintage “Victory Garden” image onto several loose 16 × 20 inch canvases with a pink background, then I worked over each version with varying rambles. At the time it felt cathartic but looking at it now, yikes! ⌛️ #classwars #mixedmedia #victorygardens
A small painting I began last year and recently finished, drawn from our 2024 Venice Biennale trip. I wanted it to feel more whimsical and focus on the objects and the stories they carry. I brought dominoes to our performance, just to say I played dominoes in the U.S. Pavilion (they were also part of work I did that semester). One memory that stays with me is how our MFA program director and coordinator, Mario and Dawn, carried a roll of linoleum flooring from New Mexico to Venice so we could build a kitchen table environment inside the pavilion. That gesture shaped my approach to this work. It reflects their devotion to our education and the experiences they made possible. The table where I sat holds sage, coffee cup, tablecloth, and a small sheet of ledger paper where I sketched during our performance. These objects hold that moment, even if we never got around to playing dominoes. The dominoes waited, but the stories we shared didn’t. #oilpainting #venicebiennale #thespaceinwhichwestory
I know I should keep this space focused on my art, but she’s my masterpiece. 💖 My babygirl PR’d in the 400, and at the end, all I see is my seven-year-old instead of a 17 year-old! 😭🥹 #trackanfield #400 #senior
The best part about RES is the socializing and family in town! Happy to spend time with cuzz Tasha and niece Giselle, so proud of them! 🥰 And always love time with Fawn and Tammi, pics from the mixer at Nuwu Art Gallery & Community Center, photos by @tigers.i #vegas #RES #nuwuviland
Thank you America Meredith @ahalenia for bringing your message. Honor Treaties with Tribes. Art keeps the truth visible and the conversation going when history refuses to. #accountability #honortreaties #linocut #womentoday
Thank you Kristine for bringing your message! It’s a joy to see people hem & haw over what to write! In Kristine’s case, she spent the day thinking about it and narrowed it down to five. Yes, listen to women! 😊 #linocut #phoenix #heardmuseum
The Heard show this weekend is a wrap! It was a great event. I’m always thankful for time with family, our artist family, and for meeting new people and making new friends. I leave weekends like this feeling full and grateful! It was a warm weekend and a huge thank you to my niece @akatcitt_15 , @leahmatafragua & @cfragua55 for helping me out over the weekend! #heardmuseum #phoenix #supportwomenartists
