Started my New Year the same way I did last year — alone, curious, and open to whatever the universe had planned.
This time, Kashi. ✨
From landing as a stranger to leaving with new friends, stories, laughter and silence that felt sacred.
@mosaichostels wasn’t just a place to stay — it was warmth, conversations by the fire, late-night jamming, shared meals, and people who felt familiar within hours. Grateful for hosts (
@naveenk.ig &
@thisismesanket )who create spaces that feel like home, even when you’re miles away from yours.
Walked the timeless roads of Banaras where every turn whispers history. Sat by the ghats watching life unfold — prayers, chaos, faith, surrender — all at once. Witnessed Manikarnika Ghat, a reminder that endings and beginnings coexist, constantly. Took a holy dip in Maa Ganga, not asking for answers, just clarity and calm. Found unexpected peace in a small kiosk, doing absolutely nothing, and realising how rare and beautiful that feeling is.
Campfires under open skies, music with strangers who didn’t feel like strangers, quiet selfies capturing moments I didn’t want to forget — this trip gave me more than memories. It gave me perspective.
Kashi didn’t change me overnight. It gently reminded me to slow down, let go, trust the process, and keep choosing experiences over expectations.
New year. Same tradition. New lessons.
Grateful, grounded, and moving forward — one step, one journey at a time. 🤍✨
