This past month, I’ve received constant messages from friends outside the Middle East checking in on me. It made me pause and reflect on how incredibly privileged I am to still be safe.
Through the people I’ve been fortunate to connect with , whether in camps in Pakistan, among locals in Afghanistan, or at the borders , I’ve been reminded of the vast differences in what people endure. Even through the connections we’ve formed to support Palestine, Sudan, Lebanon, and beyond, the reality becomes clearer.
And sometimes, I lose myself in it all and forget that I’ve also adjusted , to the comfort and safety that being in the Gulf region provides , because right now, the grief and pain across the world feels so overwhelming, so much greater than anything else.
We don’t choose where we are placed or what we are exposed to in life. But we can choose to carry that awareness with humility.
Because even in our own hardships, we may still be someone else’s blessing.

It was my first pop up in dubai and during this time when it’s been exceptionally uncertain and difficult for businesses the best thing we can do is come together as a community . It’s been so warm and beautiful . Along side that my heart has been also very heavy for Afghanistan and my workers who have been going through several challenges . Showing up my community here and my community in Afghanistan . Also , a percentage of what you buy this month will be going to people who have been impacted by the deportations and the war ❤️✨
At @pausclub block party yesterday thank for such. It’s my first pop up in dubai ✨ Beautiful event which was all about giving back to the community in a difficult time in the #UAE connected with so many incredible local brands and individuals . It was soo beautiful
