Announcing our 2026 hole-in-one sponsorship with Capital Chevrolet, Wake Forest. It was a pretty cool surprise to bump into a friend I hadn’t seen in 15 years, who is working as the sales manager - a true full-circle moment. Now we’re all set for someone to win it this year!! Registration is almost full, and it’s still a month out. Can’t wait to see everyone for this exciting day of celebration.
Our community has always been built on families helping families. As we continue to grow, we are looking for volunteers who would like to help support others navigating #gastroschisis.
Ways to Get Involved:
• Facebook Group Admin / Moderator
• Peer-to-Peer Family Support
• Territory Representatives for Support & Awareness
#Volunteers help ensure that families can find connection, guidance, and support when they need it most.
If you feel called to help in this way, please reach out to [email protected] to complete volunteer training and get started.
And if volunteering isn’t possible right now, sharing this post helps us reach the people who may be able to help.
Thank you for helping us ensure that no family has to navigate this journey alone. 💚
January has been a month of reconnection, collaboration, and forward motion for our Foundation.
From student volunteers organizing care package supplies, to leadership teams mobilizing for Gastroschisis Awareness Day (July 30), to clinical collaboration on a new children’s book—this work is only possible because of our community.
We are also actively engaged in research meetings, a website refresh, and planning for our Annual Golf Tournament on April 12. 💚
Looking ahead to February, we would love volunteers to help promote #RareDiseaseMonth and #RareDiseaseDay (Feb 28).
Get involved here:

“19 in 35 days 🎉! Against all odds, our Gastro girl survived the unthinkable and is now on the cusp of adulthood 💪. From a fragile NICU stay to thriving today, she’s defied expectations and proved her strength. Born with Gastroschisis, she fought for every breath, every milestone, and every moment. And yet, she’s grown into a remarkable young woman, beating the odds with every step. I’m overwhelmed with pride and gratitude for this resilient, courageous, and beautiful soul. Here’s to many more years of living life to the fullest! 🎂”#GastroBaby #Survivor #Warrior #BeatingTheOdds
