30 years of Madelyn! We’re all so lucky to have you. You’re the highest level of inspiration in my life. You always find joy in the little things and always see the good in every situation. Thanks for embracing all that life has to offer, for always thinking of others, for always answering the phone with excitement, for waving out the window when I have to leave town, for staying up late on a work night just to spend more time with me, for choosing what to eat for dinner 90% of the time, for demonstrating the importance of keeping your friends close, for remaining grounded and balanced through trials, for shifting my perspective on things when I don’t get it right, and for always being able to crack a genuine smile even when things kinda suck. Big or small, you put the work in, and it shows. We can all only hope to be half the kind of human you are in our lifetime.

Fenway film! I’m so glad I had time to do this on our show day in Boston this past weekend. Such an amazing experience to see this historic ballpark in action.

Quick story- our bus driver, Jerry @pelfrey_drum_works , has been building drums for 30+ years. Earlier this year, he took it upon himself to surprise me with a snare drum. I was aware of the high level of craftsmanship that he put into his drums based on our conversations and photos he had shown me. But if I’m being honest, I was nervous that after arguably the kindest thing anyone’s ever done for me, I wouldn’t want to use it all the time. That is 1,000% not the case. It has become my main snare on the road and everyone I’ve played it around has raved about it and expressed interest.
This is a beautiful curly maple stave shell 6.5”x14” and it absolutely sings. Unbelievable bite and body.
I am so grateful to Jerry for this extremely generous gift and I am so honored to rep his amazing product out here. Drummers- do not sleep on his stuff. He knows what’s up. Love you, Jerry!
