Big Scene Improv Festival is proud to announce...
Giant Steps
London 🏴
AN IMPROV COMEDY SHOW… WITH A BRILLIANT LIVE BAND!
Improvisation meets improvisation as hilarious UK improv comedians and virtuoso jazz musicians inspire each other in real time into leaps of comedy and creativity.
Created by comedians Max Dickins (Michael McIntyre’s Big Show) and Conor Jatter (The RH Experience), Giant Steps features a rotating ensemble of talent from your favourite improv shows like Showstoppers and Austentatious, plus the best up-and-coming London music talent.
Expect fresh licks and big laughs in an incomparable show that’s different every night.
With an opening set from...
Very Capable Boy
London 🏴
Sometimes silly, sometimes serious, sometimes surreal, A Very Capable Boy blends improvisation, alternative comedy and kitchen-sink drama to create a uniquely surprising live comedic experience. For fans of I Think You Should Leave, The Royle Family, and Rick and Morty, their shows draw from DIY music, absurdist theatre, and performance art to create a world full of darkly hilarious characters who move and amuse in equal measure.

A Very Capable Boy (London, UK)
Deep, dark, emotional (and funny) improv from TV’s Greg Baxter and the late, great Nathan Dean. Join these two giants of improv* as they inhabit a world of strange people, sad places, happy objects and unknown events, guaranteed to move, amuse, charm and perplex you through an hour of your valuable time.
They promise to try their absolute best, and you can’t say fairer than that.
* Greg and Nathan are both 5’10”, and therefore taller than the UK average height
Greg Baxter & Nathan Dean have been performing and coaching improv in the U.K. for the past 6 years. They both perform on a variety of teams and have performed in house teams for the Free Association and Hoopla in London as well as performing at festivals such as the Edinburgh fringe and Brighton fringe. They draw a lot of inspiration from their working class backgrounds and their love of the comic in the everyday.
