Decadent Damon has found his new family! I’m going to miss this sassy little guy but he couldn’t be going to a better place as he is now owned by one of my favorite artists, AngeliqueBenicio.com! Decadent Damon was inspired by my friend Damon (@damon.grey.accessories ) and is my collaboration with Emily Binard (@ebinard ). She is an award winning taxidermist. She mounted the baby opossum then designed/created its toga and added a brass leaf. She created the scenic ground with the dirt, grass, moss, fruit, brass leaves, and little creatures as well as the couch, ottoman, vases and wine glass with wine in it. I modified the toga to be longer so I could hide the electronics and also do a reveal. I gold gilded the claws and created a prosthetic arm. I animated the arm, the head, tail and toga. I created and added all the jewelry (arm cuff, rings, toe rings, necklace, wine glass front, pearl feather pin, and Prince Albert). I put the antique cartouche in one hand. I preserved the calistamos seed pods and flowers, modified them, and added them to each bed post. I gold gilded the couch mouse heads that Emily sculpted and added real ruby eyes. The brass base and glass dome were mine but Emily and I decided on them together. This piece features genuine diamonds, rubies, amethyst, and peridot gemstones. I haven’t posted about my Butterfly Dream Machine in almost 2 years. It’s my greatest artistic achievement so I have to keep its memory alive! Here you go! I created the Butterfly Dream Machine in February 2016. I took twenty of the largest most beautiful butterflies from around the world and transformed them into individual articulated mechanical mini sculptures adorned with Victorian filigree and precious gemstones. Built into a giant fantasy machine these mechanical butterflies can be brought back to life with the use of a magical hand crank in a stunning spectacle lit with glowing quartz crystals and vintage vacuum tubes. A large antique brass butterfly on the top of the machine can be turned to activate an enchanted music box. The base of the machine has a mysterious locked wooden cabinet holding my sacred maker's journal with the secrets of this machine. The collector who purchased this piece was given the key. I created a new automaton called Sin Seeker for the ( @hivegallery ) Hive Gallery’s “Best of the Hive” 21st Anniversary Show! This is the gallery I first started showing my art 16 years ago! Opening night is April 4th 6-11pm in DTLA. Free entry. 2. I’ll be vending at ( @pangorasbox707 ) Pangora’s Box at the Solano Fairgrounds in Vallejo, CA on Sat.April 11th. This event is organized by my dear friend @wendyroz3 who runs @jnwreptiles the animal rescue where I source the naturally deceased creatures I use in my art. Supporting this event will help her continue to care for the animals they rescue. 3. My birthday is April 30, but I will be celebrating it on Sat. April 18th 11am-8pm at Wunderkammer in San Pedro. Come by to hang out with me and to check out our brick and mortar shop, @blissfulbestiary ! For those of you on a tight budget, I’ve created a section for all the books I’ve published so you can pick up stuff as low as $1-10! There is always plenty of free parking and honestly if you haven’t been to ( @wunderkammerstore ) Wunderkammer, it’s a must see destination. 4. IMPORTANT!!! Yes, You tube has deleted our original Disasterina channel and denied our appeal. When it happened, we were completely devastated. For a few days we were tempted to give up and focus on other things, especially since the world seems to be falling apart. But when we discovered that this is a trend happening to other LGBTQ content creators, we knew we had to continue so “they” don’t win! As of now, there’s a new channel called Disasterina Archive. It will take awhile to put everything back on there and there’s a chance they can delete that page too. So in addition, we are making these videos available on the Disasterina Patreon in a free tier. If you subscribe to that, you’ll never have to worry about that channel being taken down, plus there’s no commercials.

I did the LA O&C Expo Jan.3-4, the SD O&C Expo Jan.10-11, then flew to Johnson City TN Jan. 14.-19, and now I’m on my way to the O&C Expo in El Paso. After this we will hit the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show Jan. 26-29. So, please be patient with me in regards to me responding to anything.
