In January of 2024 I went back home to @dockside.studio in Maurice, Louisiana to record my first album. I started writing the album in 2022. I had dropped out of college, was working 3 jobs struggling to make ends meet, and it wasn’t looking like a career in music was going to work out. I was alone in Tennessee and had nothing to lean on but my faith and my writing. So that’s what I did. At the time, I was living in Murfreesboro, TN in a rent home on a street called King’s Court. Every time I drove past it the street name caught my eye. I remember praying on the way home one day “Jesus, if you want me to do music, the ball is in your court”. The King’s Court. I finished writing the record in late 2023, and knew that I had to go back home to record it in order to get the sound right. It’s about my journey with faith, the ups and downs, and walking the walk even when it’s tough. Thanks to all involved. God bless. Hope yall like the music.
Singer-songwriter Joe Bryson has signed an exclusive publishing and artist development deal with Spirit Music Nashville.
Hailing from Lafayette, Louisiana, the 25-year-old combines soul, folk, rock and country. He began his musical journey at 10 years old surrounded by the Cajun music in his South Louisiana home. His themes of resilience comes from his Stage 3 Thyroid Cancer diagnosis, which he has now overcome.
After the recovery, Bryson moved to Nashville in 2020. He recently released “Started in a Truck” and “Rosary on the Rearview.” He is expected to release his debut album later this year.
