My first Star Trek Cosplay and one of the characters, that's the most dear to my heart. I love this little trouble maker so much 😭
I am still binging Trek and it's almost a year since I fell into the rabbit hole a bit too deeply.
Before that I only watched TOS religiously like once a year or so, but as soon as I started watching TNG I've been lost in the fandom. And I don't even think about emerging the rabbit hole anytime soon. I reached DS9 twice (and then curated episodes for Tedy to watch), I watch TNG from time to time and now I am making my way through Voyager 🤡
We took them a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier ✨❤️ thanks to @princess_unicorn_style for enduring my annoying self, who had a very clear vision.

It was so much fun bringing Kristoff on stage and I probably annoyed all my friends before the finals about how much I was excited to do this little performance.

Gonna yap about winning DCM for a few more months probably because I am so proud of myself. Until they called my name I didn't think I could be the winner of this season. DCM grew close to my heart over the last few years and I am so happy to have found my little family in many of the other contestants and helpers ❤️ if you get the chance to participate, please do so! It's open for everyone, you don't have to be from Germany and you don't even have to speak german, English is totally fine. And starting next year you can even compete as solo or duo?! There's literally no reason not to try participating (well this turned into an adv for DCM apparently).

Please appreciate how much @princess_unicorn_style helped me, by making Svenni for me and having a cameo in my skit (I passive aggressively sent her a wig months ago and she put on a turtle neck sweater and a blanket to mimic Annas travel outfit lmfao).

I won DCM? The first real contest I wanted to participate at? The contest that is the most dear to my heart?
This whole weekend was a blast, I was waiting for this performance for way too long, giggling and kicking my feet when I thought about finally being on stage. I knew it would be a very expected performance, classic lost in the woods Kristoff and I am happy that it made people happy.
I got to spend the weekend with many of my friends and had the best roomies, Kai, Maike and Fufu. Then Tedy surprised me with an Anna costume (I totally expected her to do something because she vanished from our chats a bit too often after work haha) but I totally didn't expect the Little My cos! I am also so grateful, because she made the Sven puppet for me, without which my skit would've been only 10% as funny.
I want to thank her and all my friends for enduring my yapping the last few weeks, the judges for being so kind to me (sorry for watering the judges room with my tears), all helpers and orga for doing their thing every year just for us to stand on this stage and have fun.
Biggest congrats to everyone who was brave enough to be on this stage and congrats to all other people who won something this weekend.
There is so much that happened this weekend, I can't tell you everything. So I just want to leave this as a quick: this weekend was awesome, thanks, please join the DCM family (you can participate even if you're not from Germany 😚)

Can't believe we did the thing? We survived @worldcosplaysummit ?
I am so happy about every single moment. Sometimes it was stressful but most of the time I had so much fun being backstage, preparing the performance and bonding with all these crazily skilled people. I never thought that everything we got told before is true, from the heat to the professionalism to the fact that you'll find amazing new friends which you'll miss dearly. It's only a few days since we left Nagoya and I already miss our stupid little bubble 😭
And we made third place? First time for Germany placing at WCS on this marvelous stage? Breaking the 20 year old curse? Wouldn't have been possible without all my friends at home who suffered with me, every time I told them about my crunch, weaving fabric for 12 hours straight or just complaining about something else regarding WCS. So thanks to all of you, you know who you are ❤️ also big thanks to my grandma who doesn't even know what Instagram is, but without her spinning wheel I would've never started making my own thread for the costume and I would've never got so much praise from the judges (most of them called us crazy for making our own fabric, but I think that counts as praise). Also biggest shout-out to @princess_unicorn_style who's the best gf and partner someone could wish for. Thanks for respecting and accepting me when I become an anxious mess every now and then haha.
Also thanks to all the people who offered their help over the week, most of all to our amazing omotenashi students @manana__7 and @ma_yt_1682 . Without you we would've be lost. We love you a lot.
Now it's time for some vacation in Tokyo, we hope we'll be back one day!

Another sappy recap but this is time I want to thank all my friends again who pushed me through all the little hiccups this year. Thanks for listening to me complain about everything I fudged up while crafting, whenever I didn't feel like crafting or when I had to tell someone that I am proud of a piece I just crafted. And thanks to all the nice souls who came up to me this year telling me that they like what I do on stage. Especially big thanks to the people who told me that they feel encouraged to step on stages too because of me 😭 dudes, just do it. I had my first performance 1,5 years ago and I am so hooked 😭😭 can't wait what the next year brings!
