My friends told me to post this on my grid months ago and I didn't because I get self conscious about my playing. I've struggled with stage fright during my entire musical journey because playing music has always been an escape for me and deeply private and personal. I started playing guitar when I was 12 and I would lock myself in my room during my childhood for hours and get lost in it. I joined our highschool rock band, We Can't Count (bc we all played by ear and didn't like counting music lol) with @b.obey , @janson_derulo , Timmy & Denver when I was 14 and we started playing shows on stage and it started popping up then and later on, into my DJ career. Now I'm 30, I've been playing shows for 15 years now (crazy) and I realize it's something that I am always going to face but I don't put as much pressure on myself to be perfect like I used to. Life is too short and I play music for the complete joy of it. I realized that my stage fright came from the pressures I was putting on myself in my head. I had to learn not to care about what anyone else thinks like I used to or if my skills are up to par or even what name I go by because it's not about that. It's just about playing for the sake of playing and the impact you might be able to have on a person from that. ๐
