Made Granny proud. My interview during Books & Brunch with @blackyogateachersalliance was an honor. What a gift to be of service and to be seen, witnessed and heard by such a credible group of yoga teachers on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in spring. The first question that @tamara.jeffries asked me was, “what is Your Yoga Business about?” I replied, “it’s about: •the entrepreneurial journey, and the life journey of becoming your dreams as I and my clients did •trial + error and learning things the hard way •failure being an option •wild success •learning how to be a boss •perseverance —through Covid, divorce, death, the loss of two businesses – and making it to the other side •AND it’s about business: 20 chapters & 45 usable templates that will carry you through your entrepreneurial journey with CEU credit along the way.” It was a passionate, soulful hour of real talk. We got real about: •what you need your yoga business to do for you and why? •how not to confuse your self worth in a negotiation •what it really takes to be an entrepreneur •and that it is OK for it NOT to be for everyone ~ no one said you have to make your living teaching yoga, or that it makes you a “real” yoga teacher if you do so •how integrating is niching down •how being accessible doesn’t mean you have to work for free •the most audacious thing about being a yoga teacher Thank you Tamara & BYTA for having me! 😘💐
