ICYMI: More than 5,000 of our woolly friends are baaaack in action at our solar projects in the Pacific Northwest. Known in the business as "solar grazing," the sheep perform essential vegetation management at our sites. They help reduce fire risk during the hot, dry summers, replacing the need for machinery to limit the growth of grass and weeds at Avangrid’s solar facilities. The sheep are currently managing vegetation at Daybreak Solar, Bakeoven Solar and Pachwáywit Fields Solar in Oregon, and Lund Hill Solar in Washington. Avangrid has partnered with Cameron Krebs, owner of Krebs Solar Grazing, to manage the growth of grass and weeds at solar projects on the Columbia Plateau since 2024. Krebs is a fifth-generation Oregon rancher whose family has a long history of lamb and wool production in the region. Read more at our link in bio.

They're baaaaack! Avangrid has welcomed thousands of sheep back to Oregon and Washington solar sites for seasonal vegetation management. We partner with a fifth-generation Oregon rancher to graze his sheep at our projects. The sheep help to keep our solar sites looking good and play an important role in reducing fire risks during the region's hot, dry summer.

Recently, our team transformed CMP’s Augusta headquarters into a real‑life Super Nintendo experience to surprise seven‑year‑old Khloe Drew and her family with a dream trip to Super Nintendo World in Orlando.
