Two years ago today, the world couldnât respond to Hind Rajabâs call for help.
A little girl, full of life, was shot while pleading to be saved.
Some want her story forgotten - but we wonât let that happen.
Millions of Palestinian children are still calling for help. Itâs time to answer.
The wonderful drawing of Hind comes from artist @mariadelmac

âWe heard many gunshots. Mum shouted, 'Go under the bed!'...She said they will k*ll us if we make noise." â Yazeed, 9 years old.
Three years ago, rival generals turned on each other and Sudan's civilian population, plunging the country into war. Since then, millions of people have been forced from their homes. This is the largest humanitarian crisis on the planet â yet the world keeps looking away. But WE CAN help end this. Share these children's stories. Talk about their lives. Keep the pressure on your governments. The children who made these drawings and the people of Sudan need our attention now more than everđđ˝
Thank you to Dr. Yosra Jad of Trauma Rescue Aid (TRAID) for speaking with Avaaz.

Hind Rajab was five years old when the Israeli army killed her. Today, her mother asks the world for one thing: Do not let Hind be forgotten. Turn her memory into a promise - to never again leave Gazaâs children alone.

FREE NARGES! â Narges Mohammadi (@narges_mohamadi_51 ) is one step closer to freedom, but sheâs still in danger.
Thanks to global pressure, she was finally moved to a hospital for urgent heart treatment. But the regime could drag her back to prison at any moment â a reality faced by countless other political prisoners across Iran.
We need to amplify her call for freedom to ensure the world doesnât look away from those still suffering behind bars.
SHARE this reel to your stories to amplify the call for Narges and all political prisoners in Iran. â
The pressure is working!
After months of medical neglect in prison, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi was finally transferred to a hospital where her own doctors can treat her. But she remains detained and could be sent back to prison at any moment.
Share her story. Demand her immediate and unconditional release through the link in our bio.

Betty Lachgar is a cancer survivor being held in solitary confinement in Morocco.
She is being detained for her personal beliefs and denied the medical care she needs. As a result, she could lose her arm.
She should not have to fight for her health again - alone, in prison.
This is not just neglect. It is preventable harm.
Avaaz has submitted her case to the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, Dr Alice Jill Edwards, who plans to visit Morocco June 9th. We urge Dr Edwards to act now:
â Officially visit Betty in detention
â Request her immediate release
385k people have already signed our petition in support of Betty's freedom, and you can join them.
While thousands of Indigenous Peoples took to the streets in Brasilia during the Terra Livre Camp, we had some questions: What do you fight for? How can we stop the end of the world?
When we listen closely, itâs easy to see the world we share and the hopes we have for our future.
A world where our children, grandchildren, families and communities thrive, in balance with nature.
What do you fight for? Let us know in the comments below if their responses, and life stories, resonate with yours. #ATL2026 #arespostasomosnĂłs
Since we shared 93-year-old Dorothyâs story, itâs been viewed hundreds of thousands of times. And today, Dorothy and her fellow elderly care home residents, made it onto the front page of The Daily Mirror!
Theyâve just launched their open letter urging the public to vote in the May 7 local elections, stand up for elderly care, and stop Reform winning more council seats in England. Letâs do it for Dorothy â vote on 7 May.

âI just hope nobody votes for Reform.â
Meet 93-year-old Dorothy. She could be forced out of her home if her Reform-led council closes the care home she depends on.
Sheâs not alone. Elderly residents across England could see their care homes closed under cost-cutting proposals from Reform UK.
But Dorothy isnât staying silent - and neither should we.
đł May 7: Vote. Donât hand your council to Reform.
Today, we honor the faces of resistance. đš
In Brazil, it is Indigenous Peoplesâ Day â a moment to stand with the guardians who protect the very existence of our planet.
For years, millions of Avaaz members have walked alongside these communities. We know that their struggle is our survival. Their dignity is our future. âđž

Human rights over trade deals. đ˘
The death penalty is always wrong. But itâs even more unjust in a system fueled by racism and discrimination against Palestinians.
The EU is Israelâs largest trading partner. These agreements are legally bound to human rights standards. So why is this one still active?
Itâs time for accountability.
We are calling on EU leaders to suspend the EUâIsrael trade agreement.
