Over the piercing sound of a popular Brazilian TV jingle, the voice seems to dissolve into emptiness after a second of silence, only to be abruptly interrupted by a barrage of straight four-on-the-floor kicks that launch the track. Released on April 22nd across all digital platforms, GEME MEU NOME MORTO PT.2—which also includes a remix by fellow Brazilian producer Brunoso—serves as the opening statement of BEAUTIFUL UGLY, the artist’s upcoming studio album. Developed over the course of two years—but entirely rebuilt from scratch in the final months of 2025—the record stands as a bold declaratidon of White Prata’s artistic ambition, expanding her sonic and aesthetic language to deliver her most accomplished work to date. Originally from Esteio, a small city in southern Brazil with fewer than 80,000 inhabitants, Prata has been working as a DJ and producer since 2014. Drawing from a wide range of influences—from extreme metal to hip-hop, from Brazilian funk to K-pop—she has carved out her own lane in electronic music: furious, acidic, and sharply, sarcastically humorous.
