Autonomous Gallery is at a pivotal moment.
For the past year and a half, I’ve been building Autonomous Gallery into a grassroots creative hub rooted in liberation, healing, and collective care.
What started as a leap of faith has become a real gathering place for artists and community.
Now I’m asking for help to keep it alive.
I’ve launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover the essential costs of keeping the space open through the rest of the year — rent, utilities, insurance, and basic operations.

hey beautiful people! if this comes across your feed let me reintroduce myself :) i’m marz, like the planet! I have been passionate about activism since 2016 (age ~ 13) but have not projected my voice at this magnitude, until now. As all of us are seeing the rise of fascism and immense corruption (literally everywhere) as well as the kidnapping of innocent people and countless other things , I felt helpless like many of us. I thought that there has to be a way I can use my voice in order to do something. Inspired by a local band @osieband I had seen post about an Artists for Aid event, and that’s where this idea came from.

We are gonna throw a block party with vendors, musical entertainment, dance performances, and other events in order to bring the community together and raise money for CHIRLA and the Autonomous Gallery! CHIRLA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help displaced persons get the help they need in their time of need. Autonomous gallery is a local art collective that has been so vital in their effort to inform and benefit their community about local happenings, including hosting medic trainings and meetings for community discussions. @autonomous.gallery@chirla_org
This has been in the works for the last several months, and I am so excited to give birth this idea. Not only did i end up finding my community through this Fest, but I am using my voice for something bigger than myself and i couldn’t be happier!

2) Wednesday May 13, 11:00am: somatic yoga w/ @radicalwellnesscollective - a gentle flow for a deeper integration of mind, body, and soul
3) Thursday May 14, 6:30-8:00: Melodies and Mantras. A collective singing circle facilitated by @golden.virgo.healing and @jfwquilts
Thursday May 7, 6:30-8:30 This month’s Plática we will be focusing on building resistance coalitions around the #californiaforever project and what next steps will be. We will be joined by organizers with @greenbeltalliance@stoptechcity and @solanotogether . Hope to see you there!
