We cannot save the victims who are already exploited, but we can save the future victims. The hope is in your hands. The real question is: what will you do today to save the victims of tomorrow? Vegan educator Andres Raphael @autobiographical explains here that vegan education works through three key elements: ethos, who we are; logos, the arguments; and pathos, the emotions. This is based on the teaching of Aristotle there is more than 2000 years ago. Using emotions in vegan education is just as important as using reason and being mindful about the way we speak. Vegan education is a symbiosis of all three. Remove just one of these elements, and vegan education is no longer complete. When we talk about the condition, it is always important to use it as a pedagogical tool to awaken empathy. Not as the end goal. Exploitation is still equally unfair even if there is less suffering. That’s precisely the point that people must understand. Video edited by @sebastien_remy_videoeditor link in the bio

Vegan educator @paulbashr has often rightly insisted on not overcomplicating the message of veganism in street outreach. That is a key point : keep it simple. Animals have an interest in being free, and if we are not vegan, we are responsible for violating that interest. Any attempt to intellectualize the message of veganism is often counterproductive, especially in street vegan education, where we have very little time with people. Remember: veganism is not something we create. It is something that already exists. Our job, as vegan educators, is to reignite those values that already live deep in our hearts. When we look at people’s behavior, we only see the surface. What lies beneath, their inner world, remains hidden. People’s reactions to what we say are not, by themselves, a reliable indicator of who they truly are or what they are capable of becoming. Many factors can explain why someone reacts in a certain way at a given moment. But to genuinely understand them, and to perceive the light that exists in their heart, we have to go deeper. That requires pedagogy and trust. Changing the world is not about judging people. It is about helping others to see what is true. And that is only possible if we approach them as individuals who are capable of change. After all, if we ourselves managed to change, then anyone can. Vegan educator Andres Rafael @autobiographical explains here the importance of having a clear vegan message when talking to people. It can be tempting to focus on environmental issues or health, since veganism can indeed have a positive impact on both. However, this is not what veganism is nor why veganism was created in the first place. Veganism exists to address one specific injustice: the exploitation of animals. Leslie J. Cross, the co-founders of veganism, stated from the very beginning: “Veganism is the principle of abolition of the exploitation of animals.” (Leslie J. Cross, 1949, In Search of Veganism). It is only when we truly understand that veganism is about the freedom of animals, and that it is fundamentally and only a moral issue, that we can become vegan educators and help others understand why they should be vegan too. The great vegan educator @autobiographical is explaining here two of the most important lessons we can learn as vegan educators: 1. Our time is limited, so we should start right now using our life to free our brothers and sisters. Life is short, and you never know when it’s gone. Don’t wait one second. Act now. 2. Don’t focus on the symptoms of speciesism. Attack speciesism directly. The root cause of animal exploitation is speciesism itself, the belief that humans are superior to animals and can exploit them. When you attack that root, all the branches of evil collapse. Never forget that. Follow for more content and let us know your feedback if you like it. A round of applause for Andres Rafael. 👏 Special thanks to the great work of editing by @sebastien_remy_videoeditor 👏
