✨ We’re so excited to officially open the doors to Autism Tree’s new office! ✨
This beautiful new space isn’t just an office — it’s a home. A place where children, parents, and the entire community can come together, feel supported, and belong. 💙
From our start in a living room 22 years ago to this new chapter today, this space reflects everything Autism Tree stands for: connection, support, and community.
Here’s to new beginnings, lasting impact, and a home for every family we serve. 🏡💫
Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible — we can’t wait to welcome you in! 💬

This is our home. At Autism Tree, we strive to create a space filled with comfort, encouragement, and unwavering support. For nearly 23 years, this community has been a lifeline for families—offering not just resources, but real connections.
We’re proud to walk alongside parents on their journey, helping them grow, learn, and gain the tools they need to help their children thrive. This is more than support—it’s a shared commitment to understanding, empowerment, and success. 💙

🎥 “My inspiration to support Autism Tree was to connect the families with the science.” — Alysson Muotri, Ph.D.
As Chairman of our Annual Global Neurodiversity Conference and a leading scientist at @ucsandiego and @radychildrens , Dr. Muotri shares why the voices of families and autistic individuals matter deeply to his research—and how Autism Tree bridges that gap every day.
From Padres games to life-changing programs, Dr. Muotri reflects on the impact of being part of the Autism Tree family—both as a scientist and a father. 💙

This season’s final NCL Girls Mentor event was all about celebrating growth, confidence, and sisterhood with our “Shine On, Sister” theme 💙
The girls and their NCL Del Sol mentors spent the morning creating personalized journals, writing encouraging notes to friends, sharing empowering statements, and making beautiful foil leaf butterflies and flower bookmarks to add to their journals 🌸
We loved seeing everyone connect, create, and uplift one another while reflecting on everything they’ve learned and shared throughout the season ✨
Thank you to our amazing NCL Del Sol mentors and everyone who brought such positive energy to the day. We can’t wait for the next NCL Girls Mentor event, so stay tuned for future dates 💫

We are thrilled to share progress on our Ability Central grant. We had an incredible meeting to dive into the implementation of our Voices Unlocked: AAC Lending Library Initiative.
It was a productive strategy session with Kyera Franklin, M.S., CCC-SLP (Autism Tree Volunteer & Community Relations Manager) and Otto Lana (Autism Tree Spokesperson, AAC user and multi-modality communicator). Our discussion centered on mapping out how this initiative will provide vital communication tools to those who need them most. We are working hard behind the scenes to finalize the details and get these AAC devices into the hands of our community members.
Increased access to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a major step toward independence and inclusion.
Stay tuned—more updates are coming soon!

Tonight was a beautiful milestone for the Autism Tree community as we hosted our very first Friends & Family Night! Our Hearts are Full 💙
For those who remember our monthly Core Team Meetings from before the pandemic, tonight felt like a long-awaited homecoming. It was incredible to see our community gathered once again in our new office - reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming so many new ones into the fold.
A huge thank you to our wonderful Intern, Leidy Neri, for leading a truly moving inspiration to kick off the evening. You set the perfect tone for our time together.
We spent the evening diving into the exciting lineup of events we have planned for the upcoming months and throughout the summer. There is so much to look forward to as we continue to grow and support one another.
Moving forward, we plan to host these Friends & Family Nights once a quarter. Our goal is simple: to keep our community connected, informed, and strong.
Want to Join Us?
Whether you have been with Autism Tree for years or you are brand new and looking for ways to get involved, you are always invited! This is a space for all families, volunteers, community partners, and supporters to come together.
Stay tuned for the date of our next quarterly gathering. We can’t wait to see you there!

🌟 AT-INSAR Series: Meet Dr. Giacomo Vivanti
We’re continuing our highlights from the 25th Anniversary INSAR Conference in Prague! Today, we’re featuring a longtime friend and visionary leader in early intervention: Giacomo Vivanti, Ph.D.
🧠 About Dr. Vivanti
Dr. Vivanti is an Associate Professor at the Drexel University A.J. Drexel Autism Institute and a lead trainer for the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). His work focuses on how children with autism learn, developing strategies to support their development in natural, everyday settings. He is widely recognized for making high-quality interventions accessible to families and providers worldwide.
🤝 A Heart Connection
Our relationship with Dr. Vivanti began in 2019 when he met our Executive Director Dayna Hoff on the East Coast while he was receiving research funding from the Eagles Autism Foundation. Since then, he has been a pillar of our community - serving as a Distinguished Speaker at our Global Neurodiversity Conference in 2019, a guest for our 2020 Lunch & Learn series, and a Distinguished Moderator for our 2022 Siblings of Autism Panel. As an autism sibling himself, Dr. Vivanti brings a unique “heart connection” to his work that truly resonates with our families.
📊 Insights from Prague
Dr. Vivanti shared three “reality checks” regarding Intervention Intensity:
1️⃣ Quality > Quantity: More hours don’t always mean more progress.
2️⃣ Active Ingredients: It’s about the *right* combination of therapy type and frequency.
3️⃣ Personalized Support: Identifying specific interventions that meet a child’s unique needs.
We are honored to collaborate with leaders like Dr. Vivanti to bring global expertise back to our local families! 💙
