Here's a watercolour painting of a place that is very close to my heart. It's the roof the current building i live in. A place that healed me. And i wish i could draw better for i really wanted to properly put all the elements that make this place so specialđĽš
Those of you who have seen my stories filled with lots of plants, flowers, dragonflies, birds and sky and my cats among plants and trees, it's this place, right over my head. And it is one of my favourite places, because here in this concrete jungle of the capital, i was somehow blessed with an oasis of a garden. And no, not just any garden, this garden really is filled with the most beautiful species of plants and flowers and fruits that grows in season!
I regularly saw beautiful birds almost everyday, blue birds, green parrots, and so many pigeons, and kites up so close! i even saw blue bees and beautiful dragonflies that i didnât know are so common in urban areas! And i also observed that the crows and kite birds have beef with my cats𤣠I picked up fallen flowers from the ground took them homeâ¤ď¸
You see, our current apartment doesnât have the greatest view of the sky or sun, and it made me very sad. But then i found this roof, and i promised myself to atleast spend 10min everyday there, to see the sky and feel the sun. And surely, it turned into a habit, and started my daily walks out there, watched the sunset. I started taking my cats there as well, because they deserve the fresh air too, right? And we get to have the simplest, quietest and peaceful time there together! And we love it!
I thank my landlord and God everyday to bless me with this beautiful garden. If i ever leave this building, I'm actually gonna miss this place most!
New painting i was working on for Pohela Boishakh ( Bengali new year).
I wanted to post it in Pohela Boishakh but i couldnât finish it 𼲠so posting now. For my non-bengali friends here, who may not know how we celebrate boishakh, i will try to explain a bit through the painting here.
- The food - It's a tradition in pohela boishakh to eat panta bhaat ( cooked rice soaked in water) with Ilish bhaja ( fried Hilsha fish).
Along with it begun bhaja (friend eggplant), and different kinds of bhorta (struggling to explain this thing in english rn, it's a spicy mashed dish, of different flavours). My mom also makes firni as a dessert on this day, so that's there on the small bowl. In the past, these food items were often served on banana leaves. Search 'Bengali thala' in pinterest and you can find a range of these items decorated so vibrantly! We bengalis are a big foodie!
- The outfit - Itâs another big thing! We all wear something red and white on this day! Even though now people wear different colours for the festivities but the traditional outfit for a girl is usually a white saree with red borders like the one in painting, and a lot of us wear alta (a red ink to decorate our hands and feet).
- Our bengali new year marks the beginning of summer season in our country. And hence that haat pankha ( hand made fans) on the left upper corner. They are made in so many different colours!
- The flower is called Krishnochura. It is the flower of summer in my country. They bloom in big trees and looks like a gorgeous red giants in the summer which i really love!
It is an acrylic paint on paper.
I hope you guys loved itâ¨
I was painting a pink birthday cake on my birthday month, which my husband noticed and surprised me with a pink birthday cake! And my in laws got me a pink dress and surprised me all together at night, that too travelling all the way from another cityđđ I will remember this birthday for lifeđ
My little attempt this month to get back to my artworks.

Photos from February
I'm still trying to get back to my normal rhythm of life after my wedding. I havenât touched my art supplies in a while. But i had some pretty good moments (some of them quite hectic as well) in these couple of months.
This account, along with my artworks, feels like a visual diary of things that are close to my heart. I usually share them in stories, but I'm planning to post my monthly collection of glimmers from my very ordinary life through my photos nowâ¨â¤ď¸ I hope these photos bring you joy as much as they do to meâ¤ď¸
Ramadan Kareemâ¨
May we all find peace and let go off things that make our hearts heavy in this holy month of Ramadan. May we forgive others and most importantly, learn to forgive ourselves too. May we celebrate consciously and be kinder to the world around us. May we accept differences with peace, and find strength in our diversities.
Wishing everyone a very happy Ramadanâ¨

Earlier this week, i actually went back to the spot that i tried to paint here.
The only painting i completed this January, that i started in December 2025đŤ
It was one of my rare occasions i tried to paint outdoors, and i honestly enjoyed the experience. This is something I'm hoping to do more often this yearâ¨

I know it's almost the end of January, but i just had to do it, or else i would have regretted it 𼲠Plus i really love this musicâ¤ď¸
And that sums up my artworks of 2025.
The big takeaways from last year were:
- I painted on big canvases which i didnât try before, and it is still a learning experience.
- I actually made a lot of pencil sketches in free hand again, and avoided grid method!
- I made paintings inspired from my own little life, which i loved very much!
- Did a collab with a bunch of amazing artists!
- Tried to participate in more than one DITYS challenge đĽ˛
- Painted my cat Zuko!
- Got two of artworks exhibited in lil event!

Sharing some of my works from this year. If I'm honest 2025 wasnât exactly the best year for me. Dreadful things have been happening all around us. And I'm just grateful to be alive and still making art peacefully.
Things I'm proud of this year:
- I made majority of the paintings inspired from my own life this year.
- I got 2 of my paintings exhibited on an event for the first in my life!
And lastly I'm thankful for this wholesome community of art people here, who are always so inspiring and ever so supportive â¤ď¸â¨
