This beauty just arrived at our home. It was a thrill to open the box with my family. As a writer, I never imagined winning an Emmy Award. So grateful to Bill Marler, Campfire and Netflix for making a terrific film POISONED. Tonight I’m headed to @westportlibrary in Westport, CT to speak at 7pm about ….writing books on The Dynasty @patriots@kingjames and @tigerwoods Can’t wait. #NewsEmmys #newenglandpatriots #lebronjames
When @lydia.benedict and I were young and living in Boston, these guys were teenagers who were part of our family. They are men now. But they remain family. Great reunion in Providence last night.
Happy birthday to the boy who has been on so many journeys with me. We’ve been everywhere together. Ballparks. Concert venues. Broadway theaters. National Parks. Museums. Caves. Treasure hunts. God, I love this guy. Thanks for being you. Don’t change a thing.
The best part of taking your kids (even the ones in college) to stadium concerts is you get to be a kid again. I’ve been to hundreds of shows. My favorite ones, by far, are the ones I attended with my children. Coldplay’s performance last night at Gillette was another rich investment in the memory bank. #coldplay
Hard to believe it was 40 years ago today! Hard to believe I was there. Hard to believe I still have my Live Aid concert shirt. Even harder to believe I can still fit into it. Sort of. Back then, I went for the music. Especially Led Zeppelin. And all those bands from MTV. We were, after all, the MTV generation. There was something else, though—the sense of pride I got from knowing that I contributed money to feed starving people in Africa. Throughout the show, rock stars I idolized were reminding us that we were all in this together. That the money raised was saving lives. Bono and Bowie and CSN and Queen and The Cars and Madonna and Petty and Baez made it cool to be kind. #liveaid1985
