Good evening my book loves! I hope you all are having a beautiful start to the weekend. Lately I've been working past my insecurities as an author, as well as a person in general. I'm reminding myself that although there are writers who are better then me, that does not mean my writing is bad. What one reader may like, another might not like. It's all about finding the correct audience. I'm trying teach myself that there are women who are prettier then me, and that's okay! Their beauty does not undermine my own. I'm a work in progress, but I'm loving the person I'm becoming. Falling in love with myself is one of the toughest things I've ever tried to do. Causing me to not be kind to myself, which was affecting my overall mental health. When I start feeding into negative situations or peoples hurtful actions, it begins to take a toll on me. Yesterday I decided I was going to speak kindly of myself and be as positive as I can despite having depression. Today I woke up feeling refreshed, energized, ready to tackle the day. Determined to overcome any obstacle I’m presented. I’m here to remind you to please be kind to yourself. Go easy on yourself, it’s okay if you don’t have everything figured out right now. It doesn’t matter what’s going wrong in your life currently, as long as you’re gentle with yourself. If you want to succeed, you have to take care of yourself mentally.
