Joseph Eckenrode, known as Jėck, has been steadily carving his place within the underground techno scene. Rooted in Detroit’s grit, his sound reflects a deeply personal dialogue with tension and rhythm, where restraint and release are constantly in motion.
Born in South Korea and forged in Detroit’s shadows, Jėck is inspired by the raw and driving energy of late 90’s and early 2000s grooves.
@whoisjeck delivers dark hypnotizing sets to built for dance floors.
His approach to production and djing is deliberate. Stripping elements down, rebuilding from the core, and moving forward. It’s a continuous evolution rather than a fixed point. From dimly lit rooms to storied dance floors he has shared the booth with artists such as Triptych, Henry Brooks, Dru Ruiz, Åre:gone, Ramsey Neville, and Justin Jay. His tracks have found life in spaces like Tresor, TV Lounge, and Radion; environments where the energy is felt as much as it is heard.
In the booth, Jėck shapes each set as a journey through shadow and movement. This guest mix captures that trajectory: raw, driving, and locked into the pulse.
