A quiet tension between presence and absence by @austinhackl_ from his recent pop up solo show @thepeachwpb
Soft gradients dissolve into one another, forming figures that feel both human and atmospheric β like memories emerging through light. The painting moves between warmth and coolness, density and transparency, creating a dreamlike space where the body becomes energy rather than form.
The glowing shapes suggest connection, isolation, and transformation all at once. What appears abstract at first slowly begins to feel intimate, almost familiar, as if the canvas is holding traces of movement and emotion beneath the surface. DM for purchase
This work explores how color can carry sensation without narrative β letting light, scale, and form speak in place of words.

ECLIPSE
Pop Up Gallery Exhibition Featuring New Work from Austin Hackl.
Dates: April 30th - May 3rd
Location: 3950 Georgia Ave, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33405, Studio 4.
An Eclipse is a Celestial event that occurs when the Sun and Moon are in alignment in such a way that one or the other becomes covered potentially creating complete darkness.
This Exhibition will be in the studio of Scott Jeffries and will be displayed on a black wall. Referencing both the orientation of color and the space where the showcase is happening, the title eclipse does appropriately describe the nature of the showcase.
Nearly all of the work for the exhibition are done in a vertical rectangular format most under 2β wide. Completed on raw linen and hand made frames.
The goal of the show case is to create a natural feeling from the frame to the brushwork. With hopes that these organic shapes and imperfect forms invite a subconscious familiarity. As well as ask the question of what is perfection and furthermore what is a boundary.
Specifically through the technique and style of painting and use of color the goal is to provoke a sense of calm and harmony through the formless but suggestive nature of the work. That in formlessness and imperfection we are all one.
